BACK OFFICE · DUBAI

A remote back-office team from India for Dubai businesses

The work that keeps a business running, done by a dedicated team that follows your instructions and your workflow, from a supervised office that Lydon runs.

What a back-office team covers

Back-office work is the part of the business customers never see and everyone depends on: records, follow-ups, data, documents, scheduling and the routine reports that keep managers informed. It grows quietly with the business until a manager is spending hours a week on it.

Typical scope for an administration seat is day-to-day administrative support for your team, scheduling, correspondence and follow-ups, and keeping records and routine reports up to date. The exact scope is confirmed against your brief.

Examples of work teams hand to a back-office seat include:

  • Entering and checking data in your CRM, ERP or spreadsheets.
  • Preparing and filing documents and keeping them in order.
  • Chasing approvals, replies and outstanding items.
  • Updating trackers and producing weekly or monthly reports.
  • Managing shared mailboxes and calendars.

These are examples, not a fixed menu. Tell us what the work looks like in your business and we build the role around it.

Why a managed team rather than a freelancer

A freelancer or remote contractor is one person you manage alone. If they disappear, are unwell, or the work grows, the problem is yours. In the Lydon model the team member is employed and managed by Lydon in a supervised office, with biometric daily attendance and a named escalation contact. You still direct the work, but the employment, the workplace and the replacement process are not your job.

The team uses your systems and logins, so data stays in your tools, and you keep control of access. Where you want extra visibility, optional monitoring software is available as an add-on.

What it replaces in the UAE

A UAE hire carries a salary, a visa, insurance, gratuity liability, a recruitment fee, a desk, office space and your own management time. Those are the eight line items on the cost page. When you add a back-office seat through Lydon, you are not adding a desk to your lease, and you are not carrying gratuity or a visa cancellation if it does not work out.

That does not make it the right answer for every task. Work that must be done in person in Dubai, or that needs a UAE licence or signature, stays with your UAE team. Back-office tasks that live on a screen are the natural fit.

Start with one

Most buyers start with a single seat to see how the arrangement feels in practice. You send us the role, we send screened candidates with the complete monthly cost, and you decide. If it works, add a second. The first 30 days are the test period, and a wrong fit in that window gets a free replacement.

How to brief the role so the first week goes well

Most disappointing first weeks come from a vague brief, not a weak candidate. Before the seat starts, write down four things on one page:

  1. The five to ten tasks the person will do every week, in order of importance.
  2. Where each task lives: which system, which folder, which mailbox.
  3. What “done” looks like for each, with one finished example.
  4. Who they ask when they are stuck, and how quickly you will reply.

Then agree a reporting cadence, for example a short end-of-day summary for the first two weeks, easing to weekly once the work is stable. The aim is for you to see problems early without spending your day checking.

Questions to ask before you choose a candidate

  • Walk me through how you would keep a tracker accurate when three people send you changes at once.
  • Show me a sample of a document or report you prepared, with anything confidential removed.
  • What would you do if an instruction seemed to contradict an earlier one?
  • Which tools have you used for this kind of work, and how comfortable are you learning ours?

You are screening for care and judgement, not just software skills. Lydon screens candidates first; the final choice is yours.

Questions, answered

Can a back-office team work in my own systems?

Yes. The team uses your systems and logins, and you keep control of access.

How do I see what the team is doing?

Task reporting runs on a cadence you agree and communication goes directly to your team. Monitoring software is available as an optional add-on.

What if the person is not a good fit?

In the first 30 days, a wrong fit gets a free replacement. For a performance issue there is an improvement period, then a free replacement.

Is data protected?

A mutual NDA is signed before any data moves, the office has access control and CCTV, and you keep control of access to your own systems. See the article on offshore team safety.
