Administration executive and data entry seats for UAE businesses

The most common first seat: a dedicated person who takes routine administration and data work off your managers, using your systems and following your instructions.

Why this is the most common first seat

Administration and data entry are the tasks every business has, nobody wants to hire a specialist for, and managers end up doing at the wrong time of day. They are also easy to describe, easy to check and low risk to hand over, which makes them a good way to try the Lydon model with a single seat.

The roles page describes the administration executive’s typical scope as day-to-day administrative support for your team, scheduling, correspondence and follow-ups, and keeping records and routine reports up to date. A data entry specialist is the same idea focused on volume: moving information accurately from one place to another.

Examples of work for these seats

  • Entering invoices, orders, customer details or inventory into your system.
  • Cleaning and updating spreadsheets, price lists and contact databases.
  • Managing email follow-ups and calendar scheduling for your managers.
  • Preparing standard letters, quotations and forms from templates you provide.
  • Tracking tasks, deadlines and renewals in a shared tracker.
  • Checking data against source documents and flagging differences.

The best first task is one you can describe in a page and check by sampling. Give the new team member a clear checklist and a sample of finished work, and review the first week’s output closely.

Accuracy and supervision

Data entry lives or dies on accuracy, and accuracy depends on clear instructions and quick feedback. Because communication goes directly between you and your team, corrections happen the same day. Attendance is biometric and the office is supervised, so the working hours you pay for are the hours worked.

For accuracy-critical work we suggest a simple control: ask for a daily count of records entered and a second-person check on a sample. Agree the cadence up front. Task reporting runs on a cadence you set.

Cost and commitment

The monthly rate depends on the role and the experience level, and we send the complete monthly cost with your screened candidates. There is no recruitment fee to pay again if it does not work: in the first 30 days a wrong fit gets a free replacement, and after that you can leave on 30 days’ notice.

Compare that with the UAE cost stack for the same hire: salary, visa, insurance, gratuity, recruitment fee, desk, office space and management time.

Growing from one seat to a team

Many buyers begin with one administration seat, then add a second role once the first is running smoothly: a document controller, a finance support seat or customer support. Each is a separate seat at its own rate, and the same operating setup covers all of them. See the back-office team page for how the pieces fit together.

How to brief the first week

Start small and check closely. A pattern that works well is:

  1. Day one: walk the person through your systems and give them one task with a finished example.
  2. Days two to three: increase to the full daily routine and review every output.
  3. End of week one: review a sample, give written feedback, and agree the reporting cadence for week two.
  4. Weeks two to four: reduce checking to a daily sample and a weekly review, and add the next task.

Keep a shared document of rules and corrections. After a month it becomes the process manual for the role, which also protects you if the team member changes.

Questions to ask when choosing a candidate

  • How do you check your own work before you send it?
  • Show me how you would organise a shared mailbox so nothing is missed.
  • What spreadsheet functions and tools are you comfortable with?
  • How do you handle a task where the instruction is unclear?

Lydon screens before you see anyone, so you start from a shortlist. Spend your interview time on judgement and written communication, which matter more than speed in this role.

Questions, answered

How fast can the team member start?

It depends on the role and candidate availability. Tell us the role and the date you want and we will confirm what is realistic when we send candidates.

Can I assign tasks directly?

Yes. You manage the work and communication goes directly to your team.

Is the work done in my systems?

Yes. The team uses your systems and logins, and you keep control of access.

Can the role change over time?

Yes. The role is built around your need and can be adjusted, within the scope you agree.

Start with one seat

Tell us the role. We send screened candidates together with the complete monthly cost. If it works, add a second. If it doesn’t, you’ve lost 30 days’ notice and nothing else.
