INSIGHTS · GETTING STARTED

Your first 30 days with a Lydon seat

The first 30 days are the test period. Here is how a seat starts, what to do each week, and what happens if the fit is wrong.

Before the seat starts

You tell us the role and the level of experience you need. We screen candidates and send them to you, together with the complete monthly cost, so you decide with the full number in front of you. You choose the person. Before data moves, a mutual NDA is signed, and the Service Agreement with its SLA is in place.

Use this time to write a one-page brief: the main tasks, where each lives, what finished work looks like and who the person asks when stuck.

Week one: start small and check closely

  • Give the team member a named login with the access the role needs.
  • Walk them through your systems and give them one task with a finished example.
  • Review every output for the first few days and give written feedback the same day.
  • Agree the daily plan and summary routine.

Weeks two and three: build the routine

  • Move to the full daily workload.
  • Reduce checking from everything to a sample.
  • Hold a short weekly call to review the week.
  • Keep a shared document of rules and corrections, which becomes the manual for the role.

Task reporting runs on the cadence you agreed, and communication goes directly to your team.

Day 30: decide

At the end of the month, ask three questions. Is the work reaching the standard you need? Is the time you spend managing it falling? Would you add a second seat? If the answers are yes, scale up. If the fit is wrong, this is the window that matters.

If the fit is wrong

  • In the first 30 days, a wrong fit gets a free replacement.
  • For a performance issue, there is an improvement period, then a free replacement.
  • If an employee resigns, Lydon replaces the person within 45 days and you are not billed for a seat sitting empty.
  • If you decide the arrangement is not for you, give 30 days’ notice. That is all.

You also have a named escalation contact at Lydon if something is not working. Use it early. Most problems are easier to fix in week two than in week six.

Then add a second seat

The model is built to start with one: if it works, add a second. Many buyers add a different role next, such as a document controller, finance support or customer support. Each seat has its own rate and the same operating setup behind it.

Questions, answered

How many seats should I start with?

One. The model is built so you can start with a single seat and add more if it works.

Who manages the person day to day?

You do. You manage the work and Lydon manages the employment.

What if I want to stop after the first month?

Give 30 days’ notice. There is no gratuity or visa to unwind.

Start with one seat

Tell us the role. We send screened candidates together with the complete monthly cost. If it works, add a second. If it doesn’t, you’ve lost 30 days’ notice and nothing else.
